Award Winning Drapery Hardware Collection from Paris Texas Hardware Inspired by Carved Treasures and Rich Wood Patinas

Dallas, Texas, May 4, 2006 - In today’s home décor industry, information travels fast, and trends update even faster. Just a few years ago homes brimmed with light wood furnishings and neutral accessories. Today darker woods and bold accents are capturing the fashion forefront.

Home decorators want drapery hardware with rich wood tones to match.

Villiers, the newest collection from Paris Texas Hardware, keeps in step with the latest home decorating trends while still drawing from classical styles. Villiers combines finials, brackets, and poles with superb furniture finishes. The innovation does not stop there as the collection features a unique blend of resin, wood, and metal components. Also new to the PTH style are the intricately detailed rings and metal brackets which add an extra bit of flair to the Villiers collection. Topping the list of traits unique to Villiers is the special dual-segment holdback stem that can transition to a shorter projection. This encourages versatile use of holdbacks in non-traditional applications.

Holdback medallions can be interchanged with finials creating a wide array of holdback styles for use with arched windows and fabric swags therefore eliminating the need for a pole.

The intricate designs of Villiers evoke images of discovered carved treasures with fine furniture patinas, while the simplest pieces exert the simplicity of modern sculpture. Villiers features finishes such as Chestnut and Rosewood, along with Noir, a dark chocolaty umber and Bronze D’ Ore, a golden brassy hue with rich bronze highlights.

Villiers is the newest of many collections of high quality finials and accessories from Paris Texas Hardware, which began in 1992 in the spare bedroom of President and Creative Director Kerri Green. Since its humble beginnings, PTH has expanded rapidly and made a name for itself by producing unique, beautifully detailed drapery hardware. The company’s product line recently caught the eye of window-covering giant Hunter Douglas, who purchased Paris Texas Hardware in 2005.

Located in Dallas, Texas, the company has gained popularity with interior designers as a result of its Rapid Ship program, which offers its best collections in a wide range of finishes that are in stock and ready to ship within 24 hours.

In-house designers focus solely on drapery hardware and they are experts in designing the fresh, stylish components that illuminate each of their numerous collections. The Villiers collection recently received the Honorable Mention for Best New Style Concept in the 2006 Product Innovation Awards from the Window Covering Manufacturers Association.

“Whether your look is antique elegance or sharp, modern simplicity, this collection offers trendsetting, yet enduring style,” Green explains.

“Villiers really speaks to many tastes.”
