HUNTER DOUGLAS ACQUIRES PARIS TEXAS HARDWARE By Rosamaria Mancini
Upper Saddle Rive, N.J. – Custom window covering giant Hunter Douglas has acquired Paris Texas Hardware, a manufacturer and marketer of branded decorative drapery hardware products.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Marv Hopkins, president and chief executive officer of Hunter Douglas, said Paris Texas Hardware would join the Hunter Douglas Design Product Groups of companies, and would continue to operate its current management.
Kerri Green founded Paris Texas Hardware in 1992 in Dallas to capitalized on the demand for more elegant drapery hardware. Her study of art and architecture in Pairs, France, in the early 1980s provided the design direction for the company and its products.
“The creative spirit and growth of Paris Texas Hardware will be enhanced through the additional resources and dynamic leaderrship of our new corporate parent,” said Green.
Hopkins said Paris Texas Hardware has been an impressive and appealing entrepreneurial success story. “The company is widely recognized within the window coverings industry and the home décor markets for its design excellence,” he said.
